Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Receives and unpacks materials and supplies




       1.  Responsible for shipping outgoing materials, parts, or products

  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately in preparation for shipment
  • Monitor shipments to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Handle questions, concerns or issues regarding shipments
  • Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability
  • Determine method of shipment utilization (ie. Shipping procedures, routes, rates, etc.
  • Prepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and preparing necessary shipping forms (i.e. bills of lading).

       2.  Responsible for verifying accuracy of incoming materials, parts, or products

  • Open, sort and place materials according to predetermined sequences
  • Transfers defective materials in a timely manner
  • Reports product damage and quantity discrepancies

       3.  General warehouse duties

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOP's)
  • Maintain safe work environment by keeping area free from safety hazards
  • Assist in preparing, scanning & labeling for Customer Orders
  • Assist with moving materials and items from, between and to receiving, storage, production, shipping or other designated areas
  • Maintain 5S cleaning program
  • Participate in cycle/physical counts

       4.  Perform other duties according to business needs

 QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience & Skills)

  • High School and minimum of 1 year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. 
  • Forklift Certification preferred
  • Computer skills, and general freight & production software (i.e. MS Office, ERP)
  • Basic to Intermediate Math, Reading Comprehension & Writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively alone and within a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Occasionally required to operate computers, telephones and other office/technology equipment, requiring gross and fine motor skills, and to employ eye-hand coordination


  1. Regularly exposed to shop elements (E.g. noise, moving parts and equipment, dust and fumes)
  2. Noise level is usually moderate to high and moderate to low indoor temperatures or climate controls
  3. Requires use of personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses with Side Shields and hearing protection.
